BACK IN HIS EARLY TWENTIES, REECE CARTER WELL AND TRULY DRANK THE WELLNESS KOOL-AID.

He swore off carbs and he shunned sugar, mostly because some guy at the gym told him that he should. He avoided both dairy and gluten, certain he was intolerant to them for no reason other than the fact that, according to social media, everybody was. He gobbled down super foods like it was going out of style. It wasn't until he commenced his studies — Reece holds a Bachelor of Health Science and has completed a Graduate Certificate of Human Nutrition — that he realised there was a massive difference between what the science says, and what the internet and well-meaning armchair experts were telling him.

Since then, a large part of Reece’s career has been spent helping people — both in a clinical setting, as well as through public speaking and his involvement in print and broadcast media — to unlearn years of restrictive, harmful, and fad-based eating behaviours. In their place, Reece teaches people the power of dietary diversity, and coaches them around building whole-food eating patterns that support lifelong wellbeing.

Simply put, he helps people cut the fads from their diets, and put the ‘good stuff’ back in.

As a passionate advocate of evidence-based and bullsh*t-free nutrition, Reece has appeared on Channel 7's The Morning Show to 'myth bust' wellness trendsChannel 9's Today to showcase affordable supermarket swaps for overhyped super foods, and Sky News to weigh in on Australia's national eating habits. He has also appeared on The Daily EditionStudio Ten, and Sunrise; and has contributed to digital and print publications that include Body + Soul, GQWoman's Day, The Australian Women's Weekly, Men's Health and Women's Fitness among others. Reece is the author of two books — The Garden Apothecary and The Happy Gut — and has an active audience of over 50,000 people across Instagram and Facebook.
